In some countries, people buy guns with the diamonds. People call these diamonds 'blood diamonds' because many people die from the guns. The United Nation is trying to stop blood diamonds. Annie Shepherd have heard the rumor that Eric Van Delft buys and sells guns and blood diamonds. Also, Harley Kirkpatrick tried to reveal the rumor, but Annie stoped him. So he tried to do that by himself. This book tells us that it is not good to deceive people to achieve own goal.
